City gas distributors gain from India’s incentive to convert homes to active PNG users
India will allocate an additional 200 SCM of lower-cost domestic gas for each household converted into an active piped natural gas consumer from September 2026. The move is designed to reduce LPG imports and subsidies, benefiting city gas distributors including Adani Total Gas, Indraprastha Gas and Mahanagar Gas.
