India auto retail defies West Asia jitters; PV sales jump 26% in May to 4.4 lakh units
Maruti Suzuki posted record 2.42 lakh May wholesales with domestic up 40% YoY to 1.9 lakh units. Tata Motors leapfrogged Mahindra as #2 PV seller at 59,090 units (+42%). Hyundai, Kia, TVS, Honda and Bajaj all logged double-digit growth; only JSW MG slipped 4%.
