India auto retail roars in May: Maruti +40%, TVS +24%, Kia +23.6% lead broad-based YoY surge
Sustained consumer demand drove May wholesales higher across India's auto pack. Maruti Suzuki domestic sales jumped 40% to 1.90 lakh units, Mahindra rose 11%, Hyundai 9%, Kia 23.6%, TVS 24%, HMSI 10% and Bajaj Auto 9%. JSW MG was the lone laggard, slipping 4% to 6,048 units.
