MoRTH proposes V2V mandate for new vehicles from October 2028
India’s road transport ministry has proposed AIS-230-compliant C-V2X systems for newly manufactured two-wheelers, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles. A phased rollout begins 1 October 2027, with a broader requirement proposed from 1 October 2028, raising new hardware, cybersecurity, testing and service-readiness needs for automakers and dealers.
