Maruti hits record 190k May sales as CNG bookings jump 40%, EV demand doubles

Maruti Suzuki posted an all-time monthly high of 190,337 units in May 2025, with UV sales up 44% to 79,267 and entry-level Alto/S-Presso rebounding to 16,275 units. CNG bookings rose 40% and EV bookings doubled. Tata (+42%), M&M (+11%), Hyundai (+9.1%), TVS (+24%) and Royal Enfield (+24%) also logged strong gains.
