Why it matters to operators and investors

What to watch next

  • Monthly registration data showing Ather's e-2W share above or below 16.67%
  • Konarc delivery and booking figures after the 29 August launch
  • Price cuts or new entry-level launches from the other makers past 800,000 sales
  • Ather's next quarterly results, especially margin commentary on the Konarc mix
  • Cumulative 2026 deliveries against the 258,684 reached by 28 Sept

Likely next moves

Our read of what comes next — analysis, not reported by the source.

  • Ather is likely to widen Konarc availability and deliveries beyond Bengaluru, the city used for its Rs 99,999 ex-showroom price.
  • Expect Ather to use the 800,822-sale milestone and its fourth-place position among makers past 800,000 in marketing to first-time EV buyers.
  • Rival electric two-wheeler makers may answer the sub-Rs 1 lakh price point with promotions or lower-priced variants aimed at the same entry buyers.
  • Financiers and lenders are likely to offer more aggressive consumer-loan schemes on the Konarc as the price falls below Rs 1 lakh.
  • Ather is likely to report that CY2026 volumes are well above CY2025's 216,460 units, and to point to the Konarc as the driver of further growth.
