Monthly ITC cap for simplified ECO registration: ₹2.5 lakh
Taxpayers reporting only B2C supplies: 16.85 lakh
Share of B2C-only taxpayers under ₹5 crore: 99 per cent

Why it matters to operators and investors

If the in-principle scheme is notified, B2C-only retailers with turnover up to ₹5 crore (16.66 lakh of 16.85 lakh such filers, 99%) could file one annual return and pay tax quarterly, and the ₹10,000 minimum for show-cause notices would also cut notice risk, but with no implementation date yet, keep current filing routines.
