Renault offers up to Rs 2.1 lakh on Duster in October, against Rs 65,000 on Kiger and Rs 55,000 on Triber
Our read
Renault is likely to keep the Duster as its lead festive discount through October and roll a similar, slightly trimmed offer into November, rather than widen the Kiger and Triber discounts.
For operators
Renault is putting its deepest October support behind the Duster, at up to Rs 2.1 lakh (including a Rs 1.5 lakh Duster-to-Duster exchange benefit) against Rs 65,000 on Kiger and Rs 55,000 on Triber, so rival SUV dealers across the Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.49 lakh band should expect sharper cross-shopping pressure.

The counter-case
The case against this reading — not reported by the source.
The headline compares the best-case ceiling on one model with the ceilings on two others, and a ceiling is not what a typical buyer gets. The Rs 2.1 lakh figure appears to stack several benefits: a Rs 50,000 cash offer limited to Duster Techno+ and Iconic, plus a Rs 1.5 lakh Duster-to-Duster exchange benefit. That exchange benefit is only open to buyers trading in an existing Duster, which is a narrow pool. Cash, exchange, loyalty and corporate offers usually cannot all be combined, and corporate and loyalty perks depend on eligibility. For most walk-in buyers the real saving is probably far below Rs 2.1 lakh, perhaps just the Rs 50,000 cash offer on two trims. The Kiger and Triber figures may be closer to what a typical buyer can actually claim. The Duster 'lead' over them may therefore be overstated. A monthly discount roundup is also routine promotional content, not a market-moving signal, and the 'delta' labelled 'signal' reads more like dealer-incentive noise.
