Crompton Greaves Consumer reported Q1 FY27 profit growth of 15% and revenue growth of 12%, though both missed estimates. Commodity inflation prompted price hikes, while BLDC fans, appliances, lighting and Butterfly grew across channels.

Why this matters

Crompton’s price-led profit growth follows a ₹65 crore MSEDCL solar pump order and a Q4 hit from a ₹716 crore Butterfly impairment. It also counters recent concern that rising input costs were squeezing margins.

Retail-company signals are accelerating, up 108000% quarter on quarter.
